Kim Jones is a writer with big dreams. Inspired by her personal experience inside the MC life, she’s chosen to write biker romance stories that are authentic—expressing the true meaning of brotherhood and the lifestyle of motorcycle clubs.

In 2013, Kim began her self-publishing journey. Saving Dallas, her first MC series, is based on the life of an influential president who juggles the pressures of the Devil’s Renegades Motorcycle Club, and the search for true love.

Clubwhore by Kim Jones

Delilah gets free room and board plus a set amount in cash each week to be available to the lonely men of the club. She bartends, cooks and attends to sexual needs. From the title, I was expecting total raunchiness and debauchery to be the ruling elements, but I soon found out that she's a real asset to the club. They genuinely like her, including the old ladies.

Delilah has her issues. She tends to hurt and sabotage herself on the down low while maintaining an in control appearance in front of her MC family. Of course she isn't fooling everyone, and some want to help her, including the big and scary-looking Bryce. He identifies her demons immediately.

I love the attitudes and dialogue between the characters. They're sexy, sassy, serious, playful, the whole range really. I like them not being too caught up in the badass MC mindset behavior. I also like that even though this book is sexual, it isn't hung up over the sex. There's major story going on around all the sex. Clubwhore has hints of BDSM, but it isn't an actual BDSM story. I loved it, and I'll definitely be looking for more from this author.

Stealing Innocents by Cari Waites

HOLY. FUCKING. SHIT.

After reading I had to have a moment to recover.

Stealing Innocents is a group of short stories with varying degrees of darkness, from erotic dubcon to horrific non-con. Even the lightest is not for casual kink reader. None would traditionally be categorized as HEA's.

Gamble Everything
I loved Gamble Everything. It's heavy on the kinks (daddy fetish, orgasm denial, cages, plugs, fisting, sounding) and falls under dubious consent. The reader experiences the process and transformation with Danny. It's an easy story to get swept up in. Control is one-sided for sure, but there is mutual pleasure occurring. For me, the ending could be considered fairly happy even though it isn't perfect.

Crazy
Whew! Crazy really messes with your mind. Drew is in a mental hospital. He thinks his doctor is making him do sexual acts, but his head is so messed up that he has no idea what's real. I wanted this story to continue when it ended. It has me all twisted.

First and Only
I had no idea where First and Only was headed. I would have never guessed. It's fairly light compared to some of the others with it's own little extras like coaxing makeup and lingerie dress up. The storyline flips quickly, and I'm not actually sure how sad or happy I am about the ending really.

Falling Angels
Inhale...exhale... I'm still torn up over Falling Angels. It gutted me, ripped my heart out. It's darker than all the others combined and multiplied. It deals with boys forced into the sex industry. It's heavy on rape, torture, mutilation and just OMFGness repeatedly. I was not turned on in the least, and I had teary eyes some. This one is a tragedy that kept me up at night. I don't think I'll ever forget it.

Lisa Henry has succeeded in turning me on, turning me off, emotionally working me over and totally mindfucking me. Thank you ma'am.

“So, the usual?” Louis asks.

“Yeah.” Tank intervenes by knocking Louis’ arm away when he tries to hand me a menu.

I glare at the obnoxious arse. “I don’t get to decide what I want?”

“Nope.” He smirks, and it’s quite possibly the millionth one I’ve seen today. “I know exactly what you want. You just need to trust me.”

“Okay then,” Louis says. “Coffee?”

“Yes,” I practically shout. “The strongest you have.”

Tank shakes his head. “Get her a latté.”

I swear if looks could kill, Tank would be burnt to a char right about now. No one takes my coffee from me and lives to tell about it.

“Your system doesn’t need any more stimulation.”

“It’s caffeine, Tank, not cocaine,” I argue. “I’m pretty sure I’ll be okay.”

He shrugs, and Louis glances nervously between us again. He looks as though he wants to flee. Tank has that effect on a lot of people. Then again, it could be the fact that I just admitted to being a junkie and at any second he’s expecting me to break out my stash and start snorting lines off of his fancy table. Louis says, “Okay, so latté it is then.”

“No, I want—”

“I’m sorry, sweetheart, but your man is too scary to say no to.” He backs away from the table, shouting, “But don’t you worry, it’ll be the best latté you’ve ever tasted. You just sit tight.”

“He’s not my fucking man,” I shout back, drawing the attention of every patron in the room, which is really only two other people, not including Louis and Kerri. I look around sheepishly and then wrap my arms around myself, turning my attention back to Tank. “Stop fucking smirking, you arsehole, or I’m walking.”

“Try it and see how far you get, Warrior Princess.”

“I’m betting I’d at least get halfway down the street before you caught up to me.”

“You wanna test that theory?” He challenges with a grin, though his gaze warms me head to toe with its intensity. “My money says you’ll make it to the door before I drag you back to the table, put you over my fuckin’ knee and spank your arse ’til it’s red raw.”

I let out a deep, shaking breath and lick my lips. Jesus Christ do I want that. I want it so fucking bad. My nipples turn rock hard and Tank’s gaze drops to my black singlet. I’m suddenly hot, wet, and hyper aware of his lingering gaze. This man is going to be the death of me.

Tank by Carmen Jenner

This is the love story between a club hitman and a club whore, and it's a fairly dark tale full of pain in many forms including rape, drug addiction, incest, murder and major violence. Tank is about two broken people finding someone who can look past all of their faults and love the person underneath.

Both Tank and Ivy grew up with abuse beyond measure. The things they've seen and lived through are heartbreaking. Because of their experiences, both are able to see through the characteristics in each other which would cause society to put them in the useless or better off dead category.

Most of the storyline is deep and dark, requiring bravery to read, some parts bleeding over into horror, but going through this journey with the characters eventually leads to an uplifting feeling. If they can still get up in the morning, most of us should be able to conquer the world.

If you read book one, you know it wasn't a light read. This was even heavier but better in my opinion.

I began to turn toward him, to stop the uneasy feelings his proximity spurred, when he stopped me: his tenor left no room for compromise.

“Don’t turn around.”

Involuntarily, I shuddered at his command.

“Put your hands on the window. Let me see those pretty little fingers.”

I’d never heard a man speak with such unquestioning authority. Obediently, I splayed my fingers on the cool glass before me, thankful I’d left my purse on the sofa. Caging me within his arms, his hands came to rest beside mine. The contrast in size was startling as his deep voice exhaled breathily onto my neck.

His lips brushed my neck. Instead of fighting, I tilted my head back against his chest to give him better access.

Insidious by Aleatha Romig

For anyone who hasn't read Aleatha Romig before, here's a helpful hint before you start. Anxiety Warning: Medication Required

If you have read her before, you already know that she's the queen of mindfucking plots.

Insidious is about a girl thrown into a world she knows nothing about. She is young and naive and has no idea what her future holds. She continuously finds herself in situations of 'you can't close it once it's been opened.' This leads to sink or swim time, and she's not going down without a fight. Nothing is ever really what it appears to be, including her.

Erotic scenes play a huge part. Some are dark; some are business; some are pleasure. Scandals are lurking behind each act. Every character has their own agenda. Contracts control some. Murders end some. It's the type of book that you have to pay attention to what you're reading. Certain parts may even require a reread in order to digest this pretzel of a storyline. It's difficult for me to explain the levels of twists and turns without giving away too much, and I recommend going into it without knowing anything beforehand. Just understand that the moral for every character in the book is trust no one.
