TAKE – verb: to reach for and hold in one’s hands or get into one’s possession, power or control.
Logan Mitchell is a man who’s always been more than happy to take what he wants. It’s a philosophy that’s proven lucrative in both his business and personal life, and never was it more apparent than the night he laid eyes on Tate Morrison. After pulling out all the stops and convincing the sexy bartender to give him a try—he’s hooked.
Now, Logan finds himself in a predicament that demands more from him than a smart-ass answer and his innate ability to walk away when things get too deep.
He has a choice to make, and it’ll force him to do something he’s never done before—take a chance.
Tate Morrison knows all about taking a chance. He took the biggest one of his life the night he showed up at Logan’s apartment to explore his unexpected reaction to the man.
Ever since then, he’s thought about little else.
At first he was convinced his attraction was based solely on his body’s curiosity. But the more time he spends with the silver-tongued lawyer, the more Tate realizes that their physical chemistry is only the beginning.
He’s starting to catch a glimpse of what life with Logan would be like, and it’s one full of excitement and satisfaction—a far cry from what he had in the past with his soon to be ex-wife.
Each man will face their fears as they begin to understand the true meaning of give and take. Their feelings for one another will be tested, as will their very beliefs. But now that they’ve found love where they least expected it, will they be brave enough to reach out and take it?

~Some favorite quotes~
"A challenge. I do love a good challenge."
"Yes, I know," Tate answered. "I found out the hard way."
Tate Morrison. He might as well change his name to temptation, because that's what he was. Pure fucking temptation.

Favorites:
Vehicle—Oh, definitely my Audi R8, and since we’re on the
topic, my least favorite is Tate’s
motorcycle.
Band
– I would have to go with that new band Ella has been playing
lately, and I know Tate likes it too, Barcelona. Good music to dance to.
Item of clothing—My favorite item to wear? Well, there’s nothing like a well-fitted suit, but if I could be,
I’d be naked. Clothes just get in the way and are…constricting.
Singing or Dancing? Mhmm
dancing. Dancing with Tate.
Parasailing or Rock Climbing? Neither,
are you fucking serious? Sorry, can I say that? But seriously, both could end
my life, and I happen to love my life right about now.
Steak or Pie? Steak,
and add in a side of taters and I’m a pretty happy guy.
What is something Tate does that truly makes you happy?
Wow…one thing? There are many things. But if I had to name one then
it would be the way he moves in to my side whenever we are sitting by one
another, or even at night in bed. I don’t even think he realizes, but he always
scoots in close to me. Don’t tell him though, because he’ll probably deny it
and stop doing it just to be a stubborn ass.
What is the best thing about your job? I’m the boss.
Have you ever wanted to be an astronaut? No, not in the least. I did mention that I don’t like doing things
that mean possible death, right?

Favorites:
Vehicle—Anything
with speed. Obviously my motorcycle, but I have to admit, I’m now a really huge
fan of Logan’s car…for many reasons.
Item of Clothing—A
well-worn pair of jeans. I just about wear them everywhere.
Reading or Watching TV? TV
for sure. But I’m not a fan of that reality shit. I’m more of the documentary
type. Just the other night there was a program about the mysteries behind the Basilica di Santa Maria
del Fiore and how they built the massive cathedral
arch. It was very interesting, even
though Logan was asleep within the first ten minutes.
Fists or Words? Words…but
sometimes, in the heat of the moment, that’s easier said then done.
Love or Honor? To
me they are one and the same. You should always honor the ones you love.
What is about Logan that made you willing to change your life? You’ve met him, right? He’s…well, he’s Logan. That sounds kind of
ridiculous, but this is a guy who’s not only charismatic, he’s incredibly smart,
and funny, and giving. He’s a man who would give you the shirt off his back if
you needed it. He has layers upon layers under that suave, sophisticated front
he shows the world, and I don’t know how anyone wouldn’t want to be with him if
he showed them all that he’s shown me. He’s an incredible individual.
Have you ever wanted to be a school teacher? Definitely
not. That many children in a small space scare the hell out of me. Why do you
ask?
Describe your dream vacation. If
you’d asked me a few months ago, I probably would have said somewhere warm with
a beach. But recently I discovered the beauty of a quiet, secluded cabin, and I
have to say, it was pretty dreamlike.
Ella, let's discuss the olive oil scene. How did this idea come to you? Hey
Toni, thanks for having me! The olive oil scene…you won’t let me get away with
the fact that I like Italian food? ß I really do love it.
Honestly though, olive oil is slippery and non-scented (for the most part), so
it wouldn’t…sting, was the theory I was going with.
What is your favorite scene between Tate and Logan? Oh that’s not fair! I have so many favorite moments with these two.
From when they first meet, to when Tate gives in, and all of their sexy moments
in between…but, two of my favorites come from Take.
The first being their ‘I love you’s’. For me it was very important
that it be realistic to who they were as a couple, and the fact that it came
out during an argument felt right for them. But I also liked later at the
cabin, that there was that moment for Logan where he just looked over at Tate
and felt the need to tell him. The cabin in particular is one big round of
favorites for me.
My second is towards the end of Take after Tate visits with his
father and goes back to Logan’s place. The conversation and simple bond these
two now share is obvious in that scene for me. It shows how far they’ve come,
and that Logan really has changed and is 100% accepting of Tate and their
relationship.
Is it hard for you to switch between writing M/M and M/F?
Yes and no. Each has its own set of challenges. When I dive back
into M/M it usually takes a couple of chapters to get the, who is saying what
& when, flowing naturally again. There are a lot of he’s, him’s, and his,
in an M/M story, and you always want it to be clear. But on the other hand M/F
also has it’s own set of problems that can range from flow, pacing and plots…so
really I don’t believe it’s due to genre at all when it comes to either being
harder or easier.
What project are you currently working on? I’m currently working on two projects. The second book in the
co-authored series, A Desperate Man, that I’m writing with the very talented
Brooke Blaine. And I’m also working on Trust.
Anything extra that you want to add? I would just like to say a huge thank you to everyone who supports
me. The amazing bloggers, who have supported my writing from the very beginning,
and to the new ones who have decided to pick up one of my books. My career as
an author wouldn’t be possible without their willingness to give a newbie a go.
Also, a big, warm hug to all of the readers who have ever picked up one of my
books. Thank you for giving my stories a try. I hope one of them will touch a
part of you and stay with you. Many thanks for having me here today, Toni. It’s
been an absolute pleasure Xx Ella
